Configure tracker exemption
Access Type: Compliance Report - Editor
A tracker exemption is a setting within your organization's tracker and vendor discovery or Advanced Compliance Monitoring for a domain that designates a tracker as consent-exempt (i.e. the tracker does not require consent). Once configured, the tracker and vendor discovery or Advanced Compliance Monitoring, and cookie policy for the domain will indicate that the tracker is consent-exempt.
In this article, we will cover how to configure a tracker exemption for a tracker found for a domain.
For the cookie policy, the tracker will also include the configured reason and description for the exemption.
Click Tracker and Vendor Discovery or Advanced Compliance Monitoring on the left-hand panel and select the ellipsis inline with a domain on the subsequent page.
Click Manage tracker policy from the drop-down menu.
Select a tracker(s) on the list.
The list of trackers are derived from the latest scan generated for the domain.

Click Exempt tracker or Modify exemption.

Use the provided field to select an exemption category and select Save when finished. The following exemption categories are available to select:
User choice storage
Authentication
Shopping basket storage
Personalization
Load balancing
Audience measurement
The exemption categories (and their accompanying descriptions) are supplied by Didomi.

Click Modify exemption.

Select Remove Exemption.

The exemption will be removed from the tracker.
