The preferences library is a collection of configured preferences (which are data collection points regarding an end-users intentions, decisions, motivations, and interests). The preferences stored in the preferences library are reusable and can be assigned to one or purposes in your [PMP configuration tree](/preference-management-platform-pmp/configuration-tree.md).
