# Introduction

In the event your organization is audited or receives a complaint, you may be required to demonstrate/produce documentation of your consent notice and/or collection of end-user consent data. The versions and proofs module enables your organization to retrieve historical data on published notices and end-user consent records in order to respond to these events. 

Additionally, versions and proofs can be used to investigate differences across consent notices and its impact on your organization (e.g. loss of revenue from removing a vendor) and/or track published changes made to notices.

Proof of consent is available within the versions and proofs module 24 hours after consent is provided by the end-user.
