Configure tracker policy
Access Type: Data Manager - Editor
A tracker policy is a document that explains what tracking technologies (like cookies, pixels, or SDKs) a website or application uses, why they are used, and what choices end-users have to control or opt out of them. In this article, we will cover how to create and configure the different components of the tracker policy.
To start, click Data Manager on the left-hand panel and select the Trackers tab on the subsequent page.
Click Manage Tracker Policy.
Select New Policy from the subsequent page.
Use the provided Policy name field to give the tracker policy a recognizable internal name.
A tracker policy is composed of the following major parts.
Policy text
The policy text is the copy of the tracker policy that covers your official statement on the types of trackers used by your organization, why they are used, how and end-user can manage their tracker preferences, etc... The policy text is comprised of three components:
Header
Introductory statement about the contents of the tracker policy
Note: The content of the header is not editable directly in the Didomi console but can be edited in the downloaded HTML or JSON file.
Policy content
Your organization's tracker policy. For your convenience, Didomi provides a default example of copy that can be used.
Footer
Additional information for the tracker policy

Tracker table
As the name suggests, the tracker table includes trackers that can be triggered on a website or application for which the policy applies.
Use the provided search fields to find trackers directly by name or for those associated with a vendor. Additionally, your organization can click More Filters to access filters that can be used to narrow down the results.
Add a tracker to the tracker table of the policy by enabling the checkbox to the left of the track name.
Click Save changes when finished.
