# U.S. National Privacy Section

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Note**: The National Privacy section of the GPP String (`gppString`) should only be used by organizations that are signatories of the Multi-State Privacy Agreement (MSPA)
{% endhint %}

The National privacy section will be set in the `gppString` for the end-user if your organization has set the national section explicitly for a U.S. State regulation or as a default if a U.S. State privacy section is currently not supported.
